Augustine On The Past

So we must not grumble, my brothers, for as the Apostle says: Some of them murmured and were destroyed by serpents. Is there any affliction now endured by mankind that was not endured by our fathers before us? What sufferings of ours even bear comparison with what we know of their sufferings? And yet you hear people complaining about this present day and age because things were so much better in former times. I wonder what would happen if they could be taken back to the days of their ancestors–would we not still hear them complaining? You may think past ages were good, but it is only because you are not living in them.

Goodyear Bends The Knee

Goodyear Bans Employees From Wearing ‘All Lives Matter,’ ‘Blue Lives Matter’ or MAGA Slogans, But Says Black Lives Matter is Allowed

A slide has leaked from a Goodyear diversity training which brands “Blue Lives Matter,” “All Lives Matter” and “MAGA” attire “unacceptable,” while deeming Black Lives Matter and LGBT slogans to be “acceptable.”

The leaked slide is of their “zero tolerance” policy towards support for police or conservative values.

“If someone wants to wear a BLM shirt in here, then cool. I’m not going to get offended about it. But at the same time, if someone’s not going to be able to wear something that is politically based, even in the farthest stretch of the imagination, that’s discriminatory,” the employee told the station under the agreement of anonymity due to fears they could lose their job. “If we’re talking about equality, then it needs to be equality. If not, it’s discrimination.”

Goodyear did not respond to the station’s inquiries about whether or not the slide came from their main office, but said that they allow associates to support “racial injustice,” but not advocacy that falls “outside the scope of equality issues.”

“Goodyear is committed to fostering an inclusive and respectful workplace where all of our associates can do their best in a spirit of teamwork. As part of this commitment, we do allow our associates to express their support on racial injustice and other equity issues but ask that they refrain from workplace expressions, verbal or otherwise, in support of political campaigning for any candidate or political party as well as other similar forms of advocacy that fall outside the scope of equity issues.”

There’s nothing more annoying than proclamations of inclusivity.

Cuck-Face Pastor Nathan Dannison

Kalamazoo city leaders said the Proud Boys have not reserved any park space or requested a permit to host an event in the city. Kalamazoo Deputy City Manager Jeff Chamberlain said you don’t necessarily need a permit to protest in the city.
First Congregational Church has reserved Arcadia Creek Festival Place for a unity rally at 2.p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 15, the same time and place the Proud Boys said they will rally.
Organizers said it is a counter protest against the Proud Boys. Pastor Nathan Dannison said they have to stand up for their fellow community members.
“It’s up to the rest of the community to stand up and say these are people and we’re not going to stand by while you come to bash them or do violence to innocent people,” Dannison said.

This is Pastor Faggot from the title of the article.

Just to be clear, he supports this.

And this…

Pastor Faggot would rather innocent people be killed than anyone think he was a racist.

Blackifying The Suburbs

San Mateo is a segregated Silicon Valley city. Ms. Heath observes that there are no Black families in her Hillsdale neighborhood. San Mateo’s few remaining African-Americans mostly live in another neighborhood, where they have long been concentrated. One percent of Hillsdale High School students are Black.

I bet Hillsdale High School is both academically exceptional and safe campus.

Ms. Heath says she would like to live in a more diverse neighborhood. The way to do that, she says, is to insist that the City Council provide more affordable housing — subsidized units for low-income families — in her neighborhood. That would be a step forward, but most African-Americans are not poor; working- and middle-class Black families whose incomes are too high to qualify for existing subsidies were also excluded from neighborhoods like Hillside because of their race.

No they weren’t. They can’t afford to live there.

Anyone want to guess which Near-Eastern tribe this journalist belongs to?

It’s actually quite simple to have more diversity in your neighborhood, Ms. Heath, just move to the other side of town. Oh by the way, the minorities might hate you for doing that, too. Just ask the gentrifiers in Seattle.

This is yet another case of Leftists asking children to justify their retarded ideology. “Ms. Heath” looks to be about sixteen years old.

Baby Bust?

www.brookings.edu/research/half-a-million-fewer-children-the-coming-covid-baby-bust/

Researchers predict a baby bust due to Covid economic downturn.

As any parent will tell you, children come at a cost. They require outlays of money, time, and energy. Certainly, they are also a source of joy and love. In the analytical terms of economic modeling, adults “choose” the quantity of children that maximizes their lifetime well-being subject to the costs associated with childbearing. Such a framework predicts, all else equal, that a higher level of lifetime income leads people to have more children. Biological constraints may prevent some people from achieving their target number of births, or optimal timing. But there is considerable empirical support for the prediction that an increase in income leads to more births, what economists call “a positive income effect.”

While there is an element of truth here, this model is descriptive not predictive.

If money equals more babies then Americans would be having more babies than any other country, but they don’t.

In an American context, whites would have more babies than Mexicans and Africans, but they don’t.

No, the number of children a couple has largely rests on three factors: 1) The level of hedonism they are prone to 2) Whether or not they use birth control 3) How much they love life and want to generate more happiness.
