A few months ago, I began postulating that no matter who the Democrats chose as their candidate that their sacrificial lamb would not be able to carry the entire Democrat Party. The party itself is too ideologically, religiously, and ethnically diverse for the whole Left to be galvanized by one figure. Any person they chose would alienate a huge portion of their base. Orange Man Bad might fly in casual conversation but not enough to energize a national electorate.
What I failed to anticipate at the time was that the Democrats would willingly choose a candidate who barely has the mental capacity to survive his day, thereby creating a massive apathy amongst the Left compounding the already inevitable fracture from the aforementioned Diversity.
November is going to be sweet.
